24-MONTH WARRANTY
A breakdown of the two-year warranty and how the repair service works.
Every Maison MONTIGNAC watch is covered by a two-year warranty from the moment of purchase, a commitment that protects against manufacturing defects and comes with a clearly identified repair service. In practice, this means that in the event of a genuine issue with the movement or case, the house takes responsibility for inspecting and restoring the watch.
The two-year warranty covers manufacturing defects: a movement that does not function correctly from the outset, a poorly assembled component, a water-resistance fault unrelated to impact or normal wear. It does not, however, cover damage resulting from improper use, a fall, or exposure to water beyond what the watch is designed to withstand. This distinction is important to understand before sending a watch in for repair, as it helps anticipate whether the work will be covered or invoiced. When in doubt, the simplest approach is to contact our customer service team, who can point you toward the right course of action even before the watch is sent in.
When a watch needs attention, the process always begins with contacting the house to describe the issue encountered. This step allows for an initial diagnosis and provides instructions for shipping. The watch is then examined in the workshop, where it is determined whether the issue falls under warranty or requires a paid repair. In every case, the customer is informed before any work begins, to avoid unpleasant surprises. This transparent approach is part of the brand's commitment: a Made in France watch deserves after-sales service worthy of the way it was made, with identified points of contact rather than an anonymous platform.
Beyond the warranty itself, Maison MONTIGNAC treats after-sales service as a natural continuation of its workshop's work. A well-maintained watch can last for decades, provided it can be serviced or repaired without unnecessary complications. That is why the process remains deliberately simple, with clearly stated timelines and follow-up on each case until the watch is returned, along with information on shipping and returns if needed.
Knowing that a watch is backed by a genuine warranty and an accessible repair service changes the way one buys it: you invest in a piece you can keep alive for years, perhaps stored in its Premium Case between wears. This is the peace of mind Maison MONTIGNAC seeks to offer through our collections.
